Shipping functionality is achieved through the use of various containers, fields, types, and values. When adding or revising a listing via the Add Item family of calls, the Item.ShippingDetails container is used to specify shipping information.

In general, shipping is classified as:

  • Domestic

    Domestic shipping is shipping within the same country as the listing marketplace.

    Up to four (4) domestic shipping services may be specified.

  • International

    International shipping is shipping to countries other than the country of the listing marketplace.

    Up to five (5) international shipping services — including either eBay International Shipping (eIS) or Global Shipping Programme (GSP) — may be specified.

Domestic and international shipping services are available for each eBay marketplace. To retrieve information about available shipping services, call GeteBayDetails with DetailName set to ShippingServiceDetails.
